I'm Merly Thomas, a senior technical writer based in Bangalore. Over 16 years — 12+ of them in documentation — I've written for engineers building 5G networks, SaaS platforms, cybersecurity products, storage systems, and enterprise software.

I started my career in financial journalism and research at IIMA, which taught me two habits I still rely on: interview relentlessly, and make the complicated one line simpler than it wants to be.

Today I'm focused on the intersection of documentation and Generative AI — building RAG pipelines for internal knowledge bases, prompt-engineering content workflows, and validating AI-generated content with human review.

I hold a Master's in Economics and a PG Diploma in Financial Markets & Insurance, and I've been certified in prompt engineering, GenAI, DITA, and MadCap Flare.
